Inori no dan2021
Description
This altar is the flagship of "Inori no dan". It was planned and designed by Architect Taizo Iwashita and producer Keiki Nishimura. A prototype was completed in 2020. At the "South Pole", a woodworking shop in Misato, Saitama. Advice was then sought from Yotsukawa Seisakusho, a wood craft manufacturer in Toyama and Takaoka. The final product was produced at Interna Nanjo, a furniture manufacturer in Shizuoka. At the beginning of its development the publishing of a picture book had been planned to be released and commercialized with Inori no dan. It would be called "Book and Buddhist Altar" (Trademark Registration/Registration No. 6266109). However, I realized that the space could be used a picture book exhibition spot for artists I therefore started collaborating with artists on the theme of prayer.
